PDO Threads

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are FDA-cleared, dissolvable medical sutures placed beneath the skin to rejuvenate and tighten your appearance without surgery. Depending on your aesthetic goals, two distinct types of threads are used: one to physically lift sagging tissue and the other to build foundational skin thickness.

1. Lifting (Barbed) Threads +

What they do: These threads feature tiny, strategic barbs that physically grip, anchor, and pull sagging skin upward, providing an instant mechanical lift.

Best for: Elevating the midface/cheeks, defining a soft jawline, lifting heavy brows, and reducing the appearance of jowls.

2. Mono & Twist Threads +

What they do: These are smooth (mono) or coiled (twist) threads placed just beneath the surface in a mesh-like pattern. They do not physically pull skin up; instead, they act as an internal scaffolding to stimulate mass collagen and elastin production, tightening and smoothing the skin from within.

Best for: Softening fine lines around the mouth (vertical lip lines), smoothing crepey skin on the neck or décolletage, and firming under-eye hollows.

Benefits +
  • Instant & Gradual Rejuvenation: Enjoy immediate structural improvement from lifting threads, followed by continuous skin texture improvements over the coming months.
  • Naturally Dissolvable: The body safely and fully absorbs the PDO material within 4 to 6 months.
  • Extended Longevity: Even after the threads dissolve, the newly generated collagen framework remains, sustaining your firmer, more youthful look for up to 12 to 18 months.
  • No Incisions: Delivers a refreshed, natural appearance with minimal downtime and absolutely no surgical scarring.
